Expert Biographies

From auctioneering Egyptologists to medieval jewellery connoisseurs, experienced entrepreneurs to gemstone-loving scientists, our experts come from a variety of backgrounds. We thought we’d share their stories with you.

Udi

Like David Dickinson and Richard Branson rolled into one, Udi has been making his mark on London’s jewellery trade for the past quarter of a decade. Not only is Udi a seasoned expert in valuing art, jewellery and antiques, but he has also built up his own city-wide jewellery business. Today, he leads the 62days team of experts.

Mee-Mee

Our gemstone specialist extraordinaire, Mee-Mee has a wealth of experience in the jewellery biz from here to Myanmar – quite literally. In fact, having graduated in physics at the University of Yangon, she has gone on to become a veteran valuer. Accredited by the National Association of Goldsmiths, a fellow of the British Gemmological Association and with years of managing jewellery shops, Mee-Mee is truly a gem (ahem).

Jacob

Jacob is our antiques and collectables expert. He has trained with one of the leading international auction houses in London, specialising in European and Oriental ceramics, works of art silver and objects of vertu. He has more than 10 years of hands on experience in valuing art and antiques on the international market, and for the past five years he performed online valuations for the general public. Jacob is also researching ancient Egyptian faience and antiquities at the Oxford University.

Sharen

For more than 20 years Sharen has been involved in the Art, Antiques and Antique Jewellery business in America and the United Kingdom. She gained experience in many aspects of the trade, from buying, selling and consultancy to valuations for probate and insurance. Sharen’s personal interests are varied – antiquities, late 16th to 18th century engravings and books, miniatures, early English and continental furniture, early English glass, textiles, pottery and some porcelain, Art Nouveau, Arts & Crafts, Craftsman, and early Deco. But her great love is early jewellery from the antiquity to Medieval and Renaissance and to English Georgian as well as Art Nouveau and English Arts & Crafts. Like many collectors she is a bit of a magpie but there is always a thread that connects or runs through these time periods of interest and history, be it a cultural, social or just a quirkiness, something that just catches your eye and takes your interest – and you are away!

Greg Swenson

Greg is our resident expert specialising in Fine Art valuations, mainly oil paintings, watercolours and drawings. His particular interest lies with the European Old Masters. Greg started his career as an apprentice in one of the Denmark’s leading auction houses and in parallel obtained a Master’s Degree in Art History from the University of Copenhagen. In 1994 he moved to Austria and worked as an auction house researcher and cataloguer. In 2006 Greg moved to London and before joining 62days.com he managed and advised several private art collections.

William Lambert

William values all watches, clocks and automata models at 62days.com. He has more than 30 years of experience as a watch maker, restorer and collector. For almost two decades, starting in the early 1980’s, he worked with a leading Swiss watches manufacturer, designing and building mechanisms. He then worked as a vintage watch buyer for several investment funds, and as a museum consultant.
